Christmas Day views
Whenever you stay you can enjoy freedom of the farm. On Christmas Day the weather provided a spectacular sky and following the Corvid trail we were able to look over at the Shropshire Hills and enjoy the dramatic landscape.

A quiet livestock farm situated where the three counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Powys meet. We offer quality self-catering accommodation with disabled facilities, an indoor swimming pool, games room, BBQ Cabins and children’s play area

We had our annual Tourist Board inspection some time ago….
Finally the certification has arrived and we can proudly say we have once again maintained our 4 Star grading for both Orchard house and Rose Cottage.
And once again, Orchard House has achieved the Gold Award.
The Inspector could see the effort we put into keeping everything up to standard for you our guests to enjoy.

Our two pretty gilts are settling in well.
On the hottest day of the year so far we found them sun bathing which isn’t good if you are a white pig. We will have to sort out a sunshade for them as it is quite difficult applying sunscreen to them – they just don’t stand still!

This hedgehog has returned to sunbathe by the wall on several occasions.
He potters across the yard seemingly oblivious to us being there – it is lovely to see and hopefully there are many more not far away.
Good job we still have a hedgehog ramp in the cattle grid!

You never know what you might see when you are out for a walk on the farm.
This morning the guests following the Corvid Trail came across two young deer – a surprise for all parties!
The other day out on Harley’s Mountain – a long way from a water source I thought – this little fellow hopped across my path.
He even waited whilst I photographed him and gave me a cheeky wink!!!
